BASS - British Alpine Ski and Snowboard School - Chatel

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all at BASS, in particular Peter and Helen, for an excellent week of fun and rewarding instruction for Dan and Josh. After a brilliant introduction to skiing last year with your team, Dan and Josh had another fantastic time this year. Your knowledge and experience, both in terms of the local area and teaching was obvious. Your enthusiasm was also able to get them to do a lot more at minus 14 on the first day than most instructors (and parents!) would have been able to. Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing you next year.

The whole family loved the holiday and we only have the highest praise for your instructors, Mark and of course Gus. Our friends, the Goddard?s, were also highly impressed with their friendliness, attitude, patience and help. We all thought they were marvellous particularly my husband, Jon who was a little anti skiing at the beginning of the week but is now talking of coming again!! ? Only however if we can use your services again. I would also like to mention?Gerry?who helped Jon try and use the button lift. No more said!?

The difference between yourselves and our other experiences of ski instruction was just so massive. Mark and Gus were so patient and helpful we cannot thank you enough and if you would like a personal testimonial for your website please let us know as we would be delighted to oblige. We will have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone who asks.

Hi Peter

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to you guys for the lessons provided last week. I still can't believe Charlie went off with Mark with no problems and is now skiing down reds.

Our 7 year old snowboarder, Tommy is so pleased that Lucia taught him and is now showing off telling all his friends how good he is!!

Finally, Jack, Conrad and Sofie thought Dan was great and Cool - not sure what he thought about them, but I'm sure he was entertained!!!

We would definitely come back to you guys next year.

Sorry I am a little late with this email been so busy with work and life in general since we got back. We would just like to say a huge thank you to you Peter for the way you have brought on our daughters confidence and ability when skiing. We are back in the UK now after our break and I was just writing to thank you for accommodating us at such short notice. We were both very pleased with our excellent instructors. As I said, as an older, more cautious learner, I was a bit more nervous, but Mark was very good, and Andrew, as a complete beginner, was smitten and that was thanks to the instruction he received.

Please thank Lucia for the two lessons for myself and Judith Atherton. Lucia faced a daunting prospect but restored some pleasure to skiing for both of us. My confidence was non-existent but I slowly began to enjoy skiing again I had almost decided to give up, thinking that it wasn't worth it in my new life post diagnosis. Lucia has changed that by her clear and focussed teaching. I am very very grateful and hope to book further lessons with Lucia in March.

Nicky is an accomplished skier whereas I have only managed a few years of gently turning down the less challenging slopes and suffering from out-of-control fear.

Learning with Helen was fantastic! She not only helped Nicky re-establish a lot of her earlier learned skills and finely tune her style but she had me enjoying running freely down any slope!

A tricky call for Helen when most of the time we were both wanting instruction together!

And it's great being instructed in English, you really understand what you are doing right and doing wrong!

We can only highly recommend Helen and the BASS team and we will certainly be back with her in the coming 08 season and look forward to taking our skiing to the next level.

Hi Peter and Mark

Thanks for the superb ski lessons for all of us last week.

We couldn’t have asked for anything more, although I doubt we’ll be lucky enough to get such good instructor/pupil ratios again. One to one teaching when we expected 5 or 6 was great, something the other ski schools wouldn’t have done.

Sharon in particular seems inspired to get to that next level such that we can all ski together.
