As the Director of Training and CEO of BASI, the British Association of Ski Instructors, I feel I have spent far too much time in an office environment over the last fifteen years. But I still spend as much time as possible working with people in one of the best environments in the world - the outdoors. Part of my role with BASS Chatel is to develop new Instructors into World Class Instructors and Coaches and I am really looking forward to this opportunity. One of my projects for the next couple of years is to become involved in coaching again and I am discussing setting up race training programmes, in the Chatel area, for local English speaking children. I would also like to combine my extensive management experience with my coaching and instructing skills in the outdoor environment to offer team building and leadership training for business teams. And not forgetting my children - Harry, Joshua and Adam - who continue to keep me on my toes!

BASI ISTD
Alpine Coach 2
I was brought up just outside of Manchester in a skiing mad family!
I started teaching skiing at Rossendale Ski Club in 2003 where I began by training some of the younger members of the race club there. I now have 7 seasons teaching experience under my belt in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere. For the past 3 seasons I have trained budding instructors for their BASI Level 2 and ISIA exams in Verbier.
I am looking forward to becoming part of the BASS team and some exciting days teaching in Chatel.
