The alps do get a lot colder than the UK hence the great snow and long season. This has an impact on your vehicle so here are some recommendations:Diesel - can freeze particularly overnight when temperatures drop regularly to below – 15 degrees centigrade. Therefore when you get to the alps make sure that you put some winter diesel in your fuel tank. Note supermarket diesel whilst cheaper is not winter diesel and will freeze. The local service staions will sell winter diesel (Gazole Hiver)Screenwash – again most screen wash in the UK is good down to -10 degrees centigrade be prepared for –20 degrees. Top up with some stronger stuff on the way across France.
Hi Peter,i just wanted to email again to express my sincere thanks for all you did for me last week. when i arrived for my first lesson i couldn't understand why anyone would want to Ski but by the end of the five lessons i understood exactly what everyone was raving about, i loved it and because of you i was able to ski for the whole day with my other half and his kids on the friday of last week without looking like a complete fool and i got down slopes that at the beginning of the week would have made me crumble in fear.
