The alps do get a lot colder than the UK hence the great snow and long season. This has an impact on your vehicle so here are some recommendations:Diesel - can freeze particularly overnight when temperatures drop regularly to below – 15 degrees centigrade. Therefore when you get to the alps make sure that you put some winter diesel in your fuel tank. Note supermarket diesel whilst cheaper is not winter diesel and will freeze. The local service staions will sell winter diesel (Gazole Hiver)Screenwash – again most screen wash in the UK is good down to -10 degrees centigrade be prepared for –20 degrees. Top up with some stronger stuff on the way across France.
Just a quick note to thank you and the team for the excellent arrangements in Chatel last week. Kids won’t stop talking about it and I think are hooked. A picture is attached. Please extend our best wishes to Janet, William and Willie and hope to see you again next year.
