A quick revision for proficient skiers with an introduction into tackling difficult snow conditions, techniques used for bumps and the dreaded ice and crud!

This course is available to junior skiers at Levels 3,4,5 or 6. They do Three hours every morning as oppose to two and have a whole day out on Thursday. Parents are asked to make sure their children have some water, suncream and money for lunch on them.

We strongly recommend that ALL children wear helmets

Every year skiers and snowboarders venture off piste poorly equipped to cope with an avalanche and no experience to help anyone else caught in one.
We offer an introduction to safety off piste by teaching the basics in snow conditions that causes an avalanche, the correct proceedures taken to summon help and the skills of conducting a tranceiver search. Transeivers, probes and shovels are all provided and the terrain used is safe and purpose made. This is not exclusively for the advanced skier.

All skiers should be aware of situations that can arise in the mountains

Having attended an introduction to avalanche safety, some of you may like to take it a step further with a more in depth study of snow craft in order to recognize potentially dangerous slopes. Depending on conditions this course will be conducted off the piste.

These beginner courses are designed to introduce you safely into skiing. The progress is fast but not the speed ! Courchevel is the ideal place to learn, we will have you skiing down a gentle green by your second day WITH a smile on your face

Once you have mastered your first week, you will be able to control your speed and your turns on green slopes with a snow plough.
This step brings you closer to feeling more in balance and will teach you the importance of a good position on your skis to avoid developing any bad habits

You are now a level two and are initiating turns with a narrow plough and beginning to draw the skis parallel after the fall line on blue slopes. You will still make quick progress at this stage but you need to iron out any problems before skiing anything more difficult

You are achieving parallels on green slopes, your performance and confidence are building but deteriorates on steeper runs. We will help you at this stage to consolidate the parallel turn and iron out any bad habits before progressing further.

You can perform good parallel turns on blue slopes but revert back to initiating the turn with a narrow plough on red runs. This course aims to run you through exercises to illiminate any awkward body positions that may be blocking your progress.

You are beginning to parallel on gentle reds in good condition. Things are really beginning to click into place ... until you meet a bump or it starts snowing! This is a time to get some miles under your feet and build experience in order to handle more tricky terrain.

You are confident on reds and would like to try a black. It is mainly the fact that one is on a black that puts one off, if the piste is in good condition, this is the time to try whilst in the company of an instructor who will encourage you at your pace.

Junior skiers learn extremely quickly, almost too quickly! This course not only teaches them to manage green runs but to do so in a controlled manner. We usually have two blue skiers levels to insure they all have good control before moving up a level. They must learn to respect the distance kept between each member of the group and look out for each other. They will also begin to participate in elementary races.

This group should have about 4 weeks skiing experience and be able to ski in good control on blue runs. This course takes them on a range of red runs following a day of revision. As the gradient of the slope increases, depending on the age of the child, they will start to feel more comfortable using parallels. It is now they will want to learn more about the parallel turn.
They will learn or be reminded of the safety aspects of skiing and a code of conduct whilst on the piste. All children's groups take tests at the end of the week to ascertain their standards.

Courses for experienced junior skiers who can make parallel turns on all terrain. This course helps them develop their techniques and tactics in more difficult conditions – eg steeps, bumps and off piste (conditions and safety factors permitting).

    One to one lessons are especially recommended for:
