MORZINE  - INSTRUCTORS
Becci Malthouse
Becci has been a co-director of BASS Morzine since 2000. She also works as a trainer of instructors for the British Association of Snowsport Instructors as well as a 'Snowboard Expert' for the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Magazine.

Becci has taught ski and snowboarding for 20 years in Scotland, Europe and South America. An ex-British champion snowboarder, Becci enjoys wake-boarding on Lake Geneva during the summer months.

James (Jaz) Lamb
Jaz has been co-director of BASS Morzine since 2000. He also works as a trainer of instructors for the British Association of Snowsport Instructors. He recently represented Great Britain and BASI at the 2011 Interski Congress in St Anton.

He has taught skiing for over 20 years, working in Scotland, Andorra & Italy before settling in Morzine.  He is a former mogul coach for the Scottish National Freestyle Ski Squad and worked with 2 former British Champions.

Through the Summer he works as a sailing coach racing sports boats and 40 ft yachts and has won National and European Championships.

Ambrogio McClintock
Ambrogio aka Ricey joined BASS Morzine in 2004/2005.  He has been teaching skiing and snowboarding for over 20 years throughout Europe, in Italy, Spain, France and Scotland.  Ricey holds the International Ski Teacher Diploma.

In the Summer you will find him back in Edinburgh managing the front of house team for the Udderbelly venue as part of the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.

Andy Jerram
Andy works as a trainer of instructors for BASI and is involved with training courses all over the Alps. He joined BASS Morzine in 2005/06 after years of teaching in the 3 Valleys area.

Andy is an accomplished wake-boarder and you can often find him seeking out new wake-board spots all over Europe in the summer. He works at a wake-board center at Rother Valley in Sheffield which is a great place to go to learn the sport.

His main interests outside skiing and wakeboarding are fine food and fine wines!

Brian Dods
Brian is an experienced and accomplished ski teacher and is re-joining our team after recently completing his International Ski Teacher Diploma. He started teaching skiing in 2001 and spent a season in Bavaria teaching the British Army to ski!

Prior to his skiing career he was an accountant for 10 years (he says "adding up numbers and ensuring they equaled zero!"), he now spends his summer in the Med working with his wife on a superyacht!

Buster Cheetham
Buster has been living in the Italian Alps for a number of years and has taught in the Aosta Valley, Italy as well as here in Morzine & Les Gets.  He is also an Alpine Trainer for BASI

Passing his summer time in the Italian Alps, Buster participates in a range of sports and has a passion for wildlife and nature photography.

David Walton
Not only is he a very talented skier, with great skills in the 'park & pipe' but he is also the first of our trainees to have started their BASI career within the BASS Professional Programme and complete their full, International Ski Teacher Diploma.

David has a depth of experience for his rapid journey through the BASI system from many years working, training and skiing on the slopes back in the UK.

James Bennett
We are delighted to have James joining our team.  A talented teacher, racer and race coach, he started skiing as a child and went on to compete on the international circuit for the British Childrens Team and then into the British Alpine Development Team.  He retired from international ski racing aged 19 but still races as one of BASI's official Euro Test calibrated openers.

Along with the BASI Level 4 Diploma he holds his ISIA Telemark, Level 1 Snowboarding and Adaptive plus the Alpine Performance Coach Level 3.

James has recently qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist and runs a very successful Euro Speed Test Race Training Company - JJC Training

James Crompton
James joined BASS in 2010/11 after completing his BASI ISTD qualification and meeting many BASS instructors along the way. He settled in straight away and made a great impact with his skiing and teaching, both with our BASS clients and with the rest of the team! Previously he worked for 5 years for a large tour operator and ski school in Italy's Aosta VAlley, (Pila, Courmayeur and La Thuile) where he was responsible for their marketing and instructor training courses.

James spends the summers teaching on snow and eating BBQ's in Australia!

Outside of skiing, James has a passion for photography and design. He can still hold his own on a tennis court and enjoys following athletics and Formula 1.

Jon Dunn
Jon started training through the BASI system in 2004 with the BASS Professional Programme and is now joining our team as a fully qualified BASI Level 4 ISTD.  He comes with a wealth of experience having spent the last 5 winters teaching with our friends at the International Ski School in Morzine.

Jon taught secodary school PE before changing his career to ski teaching and brings a huge amount of knowledge and teaching experience into his new career.  He played cricket to a very high level for many years and still likes to get out on the tennis courts or his new road bike!  Outside of sport Jon is a keen and successful photographer.

Kevin Turner
•    BASI International Ski teacher Diploma

Kevin has been teaching skiing for many years and made the move from the 3 Valleys to BASS Morzine for the season 2007/8.  He has taught extensively across Europe.

His main interests, aside from his family, are:

•    Alpine skiing
•    Sailing
•    Climbing
•    Trying to build a chalet in France!

Kevin has been a great addition to our team since day one and returns home to the Lake District where he spends the summer working as an Outdoor and Adventure Instructor. 

Tom Watts
Tom has been working in the background as a member of our team for a number of years and we are delighted that he is now fully qualified to the highest level through the British (BASI) and the New Zealand systems (NZSIA).

He has over 10 seasons teaching  experience including many summer seasons spent teaching and race coaching in New Zealand.

He speaks fluent French and lives here in Morzine all year round.

Andy Hayward
Andy is a very experienced ski teacher gaining his International Ski Teacher Diploma in 1991.  Andy has a real job as a management consultant and is always an inspirational and popular Instructor.

Elaine Adam
Elaine joined BASS Morzine in 2005/06, she is a former British Ski Team member and also works as a trainer of instructors for BASI.

Selena de Moubray
Selena joins us after living and working in Morzine for a number of years and she comes with a wealth of experience.

Joanne Seagrave
Jo joins us after many years running a very successful Chalet business in the valley.
