

13 Week Ski Instructor Program designed to take you from recreational skier to qualified BASI ski instructor.
BASS Morzine Fastrack Instructor Course 2010
This course has been designed as an exciting Fast-Track route to becoming a qualified Snowsport instructor. Set over 13 weeks, the course helps you develop you from competent skier to qualified instructor.
Course Overview:
12-13 December First Aid course.
14-18 December - BASI Level 1 Instructor Course:
This is a 5-day course covering skiing safety, planning, conducting & evaluating an instruction session; accident and emergency handling; understanding of how to improve personal & instruction performance; evaluation of your strengths and weaknesses.
21-26 December - Personal Performance Week:
5 days on snow, designed to help you develop through the action plan created on the Level 1 course as well as provide a deeper understanding of the skiing themes delivered on the course. There will also be an opportunity to further explore the areas beyond the central theme.
28 Dec to 3 Jan – Ski School Experience:
An opportunity to gain the ski school experience needed to complete BASI Level 1. Shadow our professional teachers and real clients on the hill.
Week 4 and 5 - 6 hours training per week to guide your practise time.
18-22 January - Personal Performance Week
5 days on snow, designed to help you develop through the action plan created on the Level 1 course as well as provide a deeper understanding of the skiing themes delivered on the course. There will also be an opportunity to further explore the areas beyond the central theme.
Week 7 - 6 hours training to guide your practise time plus 10 hours ski school experience/shadowing.
Week 8 - 9 hours training to guide your practise time.
Week 9 and 10 – Ski School Experience: 20 hours of shadowing per week
Week 11 - 6 hours training per week to guide your practise time.
1st to 12 March - BASI Level 2 Instructor Course:
A 10-day continual assessment course after which successful candidates will be able to ski to the required competent level, have the knowledge, ability & understanding to safely teach alpine skiing on a marked, ski patrolled area to the required level.

This course is non-residential and does not include ski pass or insurance.
