Abondance Ski Area takes off
A large American company has successfully purchased the Abondance ski area this summer, they have already ploughed a lot of money into the development of the ski area, so BASS Chatel will also be offering private lessons in Abondance this winter. The US company also own “Crested Butte” in Colorado USA so are bringing a lot of expertise to the development of the area and plan to link the Abondance village with the Pleine Dranse and Pres La Joux section of Chatel via high speed Chairlifts in the next 2 years, which will significantly increase the skiing opportunities for both Chatel and Abondance.
Quality British Snowboard Lessons
Dan Burton will be arriving in Chatel during the first week of December and is looking forwards to introducing a high quality Snowboard Instruction service into the Chatel area. Dan is already starting to book up so if you are looking for some high quality riding experiences book now to avoid disappointment. Whilst Dan is actually a New Zealand national he has an English girlfriend called Laura who has been developing his English so his English is now excellent.

Adaptive ski lessons
Helen is in the second week of her BASI Instructor adaptive training which will mean that we can offer ski lessons for people who have disabilities this season. The easy access from Pres La Joux car park to the beginners area and modern high speed chairlifts lends itself well to introducing skiing to people with disabilities.
