Snow arrives in Chatel

Chatel powder 7/02/17

The last four days has seen heavy snowfall in Chatel and we have been enjoying the powder. We are now in good shape for March and April and looking forwards to a late winter.

If you do require lessons in March and April we are filling up fast and we do have a few space left in our lessons week starting 18th February.

We have a new uniform this year so check out the colours below with the photo of our meeting place.

Most of our team from last year are back and we have a couple of new Instructors William Boyd and Scott Henderson.

The current heavy snowfalls in Les Gets & Morzine are creating awesome conditions on the slopes but the roads can be tricky so here are some tips to make sure you reach us safely.

Once you arrive, free bus shuttles run in both Les Gets & Morzine so consider leaving your car at home and jumping on the bus instead.

If you’re car is stuck in the snow, try turning off the traction control, which, can make it easier to dislodge from a parking spot. Don’t forget to switch it back on again once you’re back on the road.

BASS Morzine

Learning to ski has never been so easy in Morzine. Experienced skiers relish the feeling of fresh snow under their feet but beginner ski lifts like the magic carpet can become a slippery frustration when falling snow covers the carpet surface.

The Morzine – Pleney learner area now has a covered magic carpet, which keeps you safe as well as dry on the way up so you can enjoy every ski down just that little bit more.

So which one are you?

Well the snow has been pretty epic this week, we've had 70cm over the last three days and more forecast this week. One thing I've noticed is that most skiers seem to fall into one of two camps. Camp 1 - When's it going to stop snowing? I can't see anything and how do you ski in this stuff? Camp 2 - This is awsome! All I need is some local knowledge to make the most of it.
