September is ski trip planning season

Ski trips have lots of moving parts and, if you haven’t already, now is the time to get your ducks in row. First priorities are usually flights, accommodation, airport transfers, and, of course, booking your BASS lessons.

Accommodation providers may offer to buy ski passes for you, but buying directly from the resort can offer some great deals. Current discounts are available until 30/09/2025, so it’s time to get cracking.

First of all, decide which area pass suits you best.

The Les Gets P’tite Glisse (little slide) pass offers access to 12 lifts and 13 slopes, which is ideal for learners who are skiing for less than a week but would also suit beginner children of 6yrs and younger who are skiing for a full week. With a 1, 3 or 6-day option, it’s a super flexible way to get started on the slopes. (approx €75 for 3 days)

The Les Gets - Morzine pass gives you access to all Morzine, Nyon, Les Gets, and Mont Chery ski areas. (approx €264 for 6 days)

The full area Portes du Soleil pass provides access to all linked resorts, including Avoriaz, Champery, Morgins, and Chatel, on top of the local Morzine - Les Gets area. (approx €345 for 6 days)

Now let’s move on to skier math. Have you ever thought about buying a season pass? Here’s the science bit. A Les Gets - Morzine season pass is 40% off until 30/09/2026 at €522. That gives you freedom to ski multiple trips per year for only €177 more than a full area Portes du Soleil 6-day pass.
Also worth considering, 1 child under 12 gets a free season pass for every adult full area Portes du Soleil pass purchased.

Under 26yr olds have the season Boarder Pass for €470, which is the full area Portes du Soleil.

With so many offers, it’s worth shopping around to get the best deal to suit your needs. Buy online from the resort you are staying in to make it easy to collect your passes in resort.
